Marathon : Philosopher's Stone

J'ouvre déjà le premier sujet du marathon! Au pire, si ça vous tente pas, je vais le faire toute seule haha. Je suggère de regarder le film avant de lire mon avis, pour vous faire votre propre opinion. Mais vous pouvez lire tout de suite aussi :-P En passant si vous avez pas les premiers DVDs comme moi, ça a été super facile pour moi de trouver le film en streaming sur Internet.

Alors j'ai triché, je viens de réécouter le 1er film d'avance! Ça faisait TROP longtemps, je ne l'avais pas réécouté depuis la sortie du 7e tome. Contre toute attente, j'ai ADORÉ. C'est fou comment c'est pas pareil que les autres films, et comment c'est pareil au livre étant donné que le premier est si court... Et au final, j'aime beaucoup trop le traitement enfantin et super léché-orangé. Ça fitte pour le premier livre, et on dirait qu'on est plongé dans un beau rêve, un monde magique, vraiment. C'est vraiment un gros retour en enfance agréable tout le long, du moins pour moi, aujourd'hui à 20 ans, et après la lecture du 7e!

C'est sûr que le film manque un peu "d'aération" par contre. Ça parait que les répliques/scènes sont rushées les unes après les autres (ce qui va être pire dans le 2, à mon souvenir, comme le livre est plus long...) Ça aurait été bien un peu plus d'espace, de plans contemplatifs et descriptifs et/ou artistiques, mais bon.

Rupert et Emma son trop bons (pour leur âge), trop in caracter, c'est malade. Dan est mauvais, il a souuuuvent des faces "de marbre", mais bon. Je trouve quand même ça bizarre qu'ils aient pas trouvé mieux parmi autant de petit gars aux auditions. Maintenant, j'aime beaucoup Dan, mais dans le 1 il montre pas trop qu'il mérite la part. Bref. Sinon, j'aime TROP Hagrid. J'ai aussi aimé voir le jeu d'Alan Rickman maintenant qu'on connait le background de Snape (il regarde Harry avec dédain tout le long.... et on sait maintenant exactement pourquoi, et JKR le lui avait dit personnellement avant la sortie du tome 7) C'est aussi chouette de revoir un Dumby un peu comique (quoique moins que dans le livre quand même) Ah pis je trouve ça poche qu'ils ont casté les gars secondaires de Gryffondor et gardés du 1 jusqu'au 7, mais pas les filles... genre Lavande et Parvati. Sont pas ben ben moins importantes que Seamus et Dean. En tout cas!

* Moments marquants: Privet Drive, tout Diagon Alley sauf des détails poches chez Ollivander, la rencontre du trio dans le train, Hermione qui dit "(...) or worst: expelled!", la scène d'échecs à la fin (encore et toujours)

In 1997, producer David Heyman searched Hollywood for a children's book that could be adapted into a well-received film.[2] He had planned to produce The Ogre Downstairs by Diana Wynne Jones, but his plans fell through. His staff at Heyday Films then suggested Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which Heyman believed was "a cool idea."[2] Heyman pitched the idea to Warner Bros.[2] and the following year, Rowling sold the company the rights to the first four Harry Potter books for a reported £1 million (US$1,982,900).[26] A demand Rowling made was that the principal cast be kept strictly British, nonetheless allowing for the inclusion of Irish actors such as Richard Harris as Dumbledore, and for casting of French and Eastern European actors in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire where characters from the book are specified as such.[7] Rowling was hesitant to sell the rights because she "didn't want to give them control over the rest of the story" by selling the rights to the characters, which would have enabled Warner Bros. to make non-author-written sequels.[27]

Although Steven Spielberg initially negotiated to direct the film, he declined the offer.[28] Spielberg reportedly wanted the adaptation to be an animated film, with American actor Haley Joel Osment to provide Harry Potter's voice,[29] or a film incorporated elements from subsequent books as well.[2] Spielberg contended that, in his opinion, there was every expectation of profit in making the film, and that making money would have been like "shooting ducks in a barrel. It's just a slam dunk. It's just like withdrawing a billion dollars and putting it into your personal bank accounts. There's no challenge."[30] Rowling maintains that she has no role in choosing directors for the films and that "[a]nyone who thinks I could (or would) have 'veto-ed' [ sic ] him [Spielberg] needs their Quick-Quotes Quill serviced."[31] Heyman recalled that Spielberg decided to direct whichever project, out of A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Minority Report, Memoirs of a Geisha or Harry Potter, "came together first," with him opting to direct A.I.[2]

After Spielberg left, talks began with other directors, including: Chris Columbus, Terry Gilliam, Jonathan Demme, Mike Newell, Alan Parker, Wolfgang Petersen, Rob Reiner, Ivan Reitman, Tim Robbins, Brad Silberling, M. Night Shyamalan and Peter Weir.[2][25][32] Petersen and Reiner then both pulled out of the running in March 2000,[33] and the choice was narrowed down to Silberling, Columbus, Parker and Gilliam.[34] Rowling's first choice director was Terry Gilliam,[35] but Warner Bros chose Columbus, citing his work on other family films such as Home Alone and Mrs. Doubtfire as influences for their decision.[36] Columbus pitched his vision of the film for two hours, stating that he wanted the Muggle scenes "to be bleak and dreary," but those set in the wizarding world "to be steeped in color, mood, and detail." He took inspiration from David Lean's adaptations of Great Expectations (1946) and Oliver Twist (1948), wishing to use "that sort of darkness, that sort of edge, that quality to the cinematography," taking the colour designs from Oliver! and The Godfather.[2]

Steve Kloves was selected to write the screenplay for the film. He described adapting the book as "tough", as it did not "lend itself to adaptation as well as the next two books."[37] Kloves often received synopses of books proposed as film adaptations from Warner Bros., which he "almost never read",[2] but Harry Potter jumped out at him.[2] He went out and bought the book, and became an instant fan of the series.[37] When speaking to Warner Bros. he stated that the film had to be British, and had to be true to the characters.[37] Kloves was nervous when he first met Rowling as he did not want her to think he was going to "[destroy] her baby."[2] Rowling admitted that she "was really ready to hate this Steve Kloves," but recalled her initial meeting with him: "The first time I met him, he said to me, 'You know who my favourite character is?' And I thought, You're gonna say Ron. I know you're gonna say Ron. But he said 'Hermione.' And I just kind of melted."[2] Rowling received a large amount of creative control, being made an executive producer, an arrangement that Columbus did not mind.[1]

Warner Bros. had initially planned to release the film over a 4 July 2001 weekend, making for such a short production window that several proposed directors pulled themselves out of the running. However due to time constraints the date was put back to 16 November 2001.[38]

Et ne surtout pas oublier les Deleted Scenes... je les avais complètement oubliées! Y en a même 2 que je suis quasi-certaine de jamais avoir vues O_O!!

Moi je suis partant! Mais je me donne un peu plus de temps pour écouter le film.

Pas de problème, prenez votre temps, je suis juste ben d'avance parce que je suis dans un mini-trip HP en ce moment et je voulais absolument réécouter un des films

Je suis partante aussi! Je ne vais peut-être pas regarder le premier ce mois-ci, par contre, à cause de la fin de session, mais je regarderai les deux premiers le mois prochain au pire...

Mais je viens d'avoir une idée... et si on les regardait ensemble, en gang? Pas obligé que ce soit à chaque mois/chaque film, mais une fois de temps en temps, ça serait le fun, non? On ne se voit plus!
